After reminiscing about The New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham and his surprise appearances at several of our gala events a few weeks before he died, the conversation moved to his recently published book, “Fashion Climbing”. The team at TBG knew Bill Cunningham as a buttoned up and business only photographer in a blue jacket. The book, however, is a fascinating tale of his life before The New York Times and surprised us again… he wasn’t always the man behind the scenes, but rather the man on the label. This title gives the reader a fashionable, no holds barred, glimpse at his colorful persona. The beautiful pictures of days gone by are quite amazing too. It’s a great subway, commute, flight or beach read.
